The Circus - April 16, 2011
Today we were lucky to be able to go to the circus with our 3 year old and 6 month old. Our son's jaw was dropped for a lot of it except for a few acts when he was more interested in getting the treats he saw people eating around him. Mommy even allowed a special snow cone treat. Although, like most 3 year olds they want it all so even after a special day enjoying the circus our 3 year old was upset when we left and he didn't also get an ice cream cone.

I Hear Giants - March 21, 2011
This morning my almost 3 year old came in to tell me he hears Giants....I tried to explain that was just thunder from the rain storm. It did sound like Giants though.

Diary of... - March 17, 2011
I still plan to write a memory of the day as often as I can but on days I'm not able to, please check out Diary of an Infant, Diary of a 3 Year Old, Diary of a Mom, and Diary of a Dad for an update of our daily lives.

Preschool Independence - March 8, 2011
Today I decided to walk my son into his preschool class since we got there early rather than waiting in the car pool line. He turned to me and said, "I go myself." I explained that he has to at least hold my hand until we get to the sidewalk. Soon as we got there, he took off, he did not want to walk in with his mom. I thought I'd have at least until he was in middle school before he was embarrassed of his mom? Oh well, I guess an almost 3 year old already doesn't want to be seen with is mommy.

Saturday Fun - March 4, 2011
Today Erik and I went to our first spin class (bike exercise class) and it was challenging. If we both do that up until the Triathlon we signed up for we should be ready. I love having our Saturday "date" at the gym while our kids have fun in the childcare. After our class, we went and picked them up and then had fun as a family at the swimming pool. Our 4 month old enjoyed watching everyone and then she took a nice nap while her brother had fun splashing in the water features at the pool. It was a great start to a Saturday.

Activity Jumper - March 3, 2011
Today when I went to pick my 4 month old up at the gym daycare I found her standing in an activity jumper. I can't believe she is big enough to play in one. She is growing up too fast already!

Yummy Toes - February 28, 2011
Our 4 month old loves grabbing her toes and laughs and laughs if you pretend to eat them or put them near her mouth. She also likes to sit up and can even sit without any pillows by bracing herself with her arms even if it is for a brief second before slowly falling over. Today, she enjoyed being in the crawling position while her big brother cheered her on to crawl. She would kick her legs and her brother would yell, "good job!" and give her a kiss.

Disney Live Mickey's Magic Show - February 27, 2011
We took our 2 1/2 year old to see the Disney Live Mickey's Magic Show today. MomMom and Granddad watched our 4 month old at home. It was a fun show although I had really big expectations due to how great we thought the shows in Disney World were and I was slightly disappointed as I didn't think it was as good as the standard Disney Shows. Our seats were row Y and the theater only went to row Z so we were extremely far away although right in the middle so overall we had a pretty good view of the stage. When they asked the audience if we were having a good time and our 2 1/2 year old screamed "YES!" I knew it was worth it.

Sticker for Potty - February 25, 2011
Today, when I went to go to the bathroom, my 2 1/2 year old first asked me if "want some privacy" and I said yes, so he closed the door for me and then after I went bathroom he went and got me a sticker and put it on his potty chart. Who doesn't get excited about getting a sticker for going bathroom in the potty?

Brother and Sister - February 18, 2011
It is great watching my 2 1/2 year old and 4 month old be together. Today, my son sat holding his baby sister on the couch for about 20 minutes watching Mister Rogers together. Then at dinner my 4 month old sat in her highchair and my 2 1/2 year old had fun giving her pretend baby food off of a real baby spoon. My 4 month old was very interested as it was the first time she had a baby spoon put in her mouth. She is definitely getting ready for baby food but as recommended by our pediatrician we plan to wait until around 5 months before starting baby food.
